Given the wide variety of solar PV equipment and design choices, there is a wide range of prices ($/kWh) and system annual kWh production. The "best value" selection methodology is ideally suited to facilitating this critical trade-off decision-making between price and performance.
Can EPC contracts be used in the solar sector?
While our focus here is on the use of EPC Contracts in the solar sector, many of the issues are applicable to EPC Contracts in all sectors. EPC Contracts do not eliminate or mitigate against all risks; however, when drafted correctly they can ensure performance, timely delivery and rectification within agreed parameters or up to agreed caps.

The Contractor's proposed PV system shall be capable of being included in a future micro-grid that can operate when the utility grid is unavailable.
